We, sincerely and personally on 8
8 whole years. 8 years chasing the wind and the sun.
And we truly believe in summer.
When we started Vintage Summer we knew nothing. We hadn't studied this, we had no idea about fabrics and cuts, we had no one to make things for us, and we had no investment.
So, for inspiration and strength from us:
For the first two years, Ani couldn't take money from people. She gave everything to everyone. We were working at a real loss. It's a good thing it was Tina.
We did it for fun. A hobby, let's see what would happen. Then we realized that we urgently needed to develop, because the girls wanted our dresses.
At our first fest, Mish Mash Fest, which we went to 6 years ago, we had a total of 10 things. We sold them in a few hours and didn't know what was happening. The next day it rained and we were the happiest people in the world because the fest was postponed. We ran through the rain to see if it would be postponed. Wet, we celebrated in the car. Mish Mash Fest is what made us "famous" and we thank the "Girls from the City" from the bottom of our hearts for giving us female power! Chrissy and Milencheto are our best friends and true female support.
At first, the orders were in a notebook, everything was written by hand. Annie forgot orders. Tina sorted out her mess. Oh my. Those were interesting times.
Ani is afraid to call herself a designer.
We didn't have an office or a warehouse. Everything was in Ani's apartment. Cartons, boxes, shelves. It still happens that someone comes to a festival and tells us "oh, I've been to your place", eh, times.
Tina and I have been friends for 21 years. We sat on the same bench.

Tina is organized, a person with incredible willpower, super inspiring. She gives you strength that anything is possible.
Annie is chaotic, energetic, talkative, and will always help you. She gives you peace of mind that there is a way to do anything.
Tina stays up until 1:30 in the warehouse if it's not tidy. Until 1:30, people, without needing to stay up that late. She's just a real pedant.
Before every collection, Annie is super nervous and worried about whether things will be liked. Then she keeps talking to people at festivals and blowing their minds.
There isn't a friend of ours who hasn't dragged, carried, helped, filmed, or listened for Vintage Summer. Thanks, guys, you're awesome!
We have made 2986 of our favorite short dress soleil in the last 5 years. Can you imagine? Almost 3000 dresses, yeh yeh.

We didn't know how to sew clothes. We give you the strength to not let the thought that you don't know something or that it's difficult stop you. Trust your heart.
Did you know that we didn't have a website for 5 years? Now we don't know why we didn't do it sooner, but launching the website cost us months of 24/7 work, literally. And now, we just look back and don't even remember that it was difficult for us. So go for it!
We were about to give up once. Annie spent the whole night looking for what else she wanted to do with her life. She found nothing, thankfully!
We grow with people around us, so trust, give, share, and ask boldly. There will be someone to help you.
We were guests on the show "Nice job" on Bulgarian National Radio last week. You can hear a candid conversation with Tina here:

So, for 8 years we have laughed a lot, we have dreamed a lot, maybe we have cried, fallen, got up, lost and won, but one thing is for sure, we have been ourselves. And we continue. Cheers to real girls!
Summer started yesterday.
Girls, love and feminine strength from us. And thank you. Again.
Yours, the girls of summer,
Annie and Tina
